HOW does it WORK?

The day before your appointment, you will receive an email to explain how to get the most out of your Physio by Video appointment.  Simple things, such as App Download (if using Apple or Android Device), how to position the device to make assessments easier, what to wear and so forth.  Rest assured, everything is simple, even for those less tech-savvy patients.

Your Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist will ask you a range of questions regarding your condition and general health - just like they would if you attended our clinics.  This is called a "subjective" assessment and provides our Physiotherapist with information to form the differential diagnosis (the different possible diagnosis of your condition).

* 4 Life Physiotherapy cannot guarantee that all Physiotherapists will be this good looking!

Your Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist consider your answers and will ask you to perform a range of movement tests to get a better understanding of your condition.  You won't be asked to do anything you are not comfortable doing.  These movement tests will help to better diagnose your condition and prescribe the appropriate treatment.

Your Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist will explain your diagnosis and treatment plan.  Our rehabilitation programs are sent to a free app on your smartphone (and can also be accessed via laptop and printed).  You view video demonstrations of your program, set reminders to exercise, rate your pain and log your progress.

... until at least 14th April 2020 when Private Health Benefits will apply, 4 Life Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology will offer a $20.00 discount to our standard consultation fees  ...

(Telehealth Appointments $57.00, usually $77.00)

Frequently asked questions

Most musculoskeletal injuries are suitable for Physio by Video consultations. If we determine that your injury or situation is not suitable, we will provide a 100% refund. As such you can book a consultation risk free. If you prefer, you can use the contact form on this website and let us know a little about your condition so that we can advise.

Do I Need a Referral?

No, to attend a Physio by Video consultation as a private fee paying patient, you do not need a referral. At this time, DVA does not provide benefits for Telehealth consultations.

How Can Physio by Video Treat my Injuries without Touching Me?

When you think of a Physio, you often think about "hands on" treatment. Infact this is only a small portion of what Physio's can do to assist with Injury Management. The research proves that Online Consultation are in fact very effective! We will provide education about your condition, identify lifestyle factors contributing to your condition, provide advice on best management of your condition and provide a tailored exercise rehabiltiation program. This will put you in control of your own recovery, leading to excellent outcomes.

How do I know if I am doing the Rehabiltiation Exercises Correctly?

We utilise an industry leading exercise prescription program which will provide videos, photos and written explanations for your exercise program. This makes completing the exercises correctly a breeze. If you are not sure, you can demonstrate the exercises for your Physiotherapist at your followup consultation.

What Payment Methods are Available?

Secure Payment by Credit Card.

What Should I Wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows the Physiotherapist to see the injured joint or area. You may be asked to perform a range of movements, so don't wear restrictive or tight clothing.
