Tara Cabassi - Remedial Massage Therapist

Hello wonderful Pinjarra residents!

I want to introduce myself to you all, my name is Tara and I am the Remedial Massage Therapist at the 4 Life Physiotherapy Pinjarra Clinic!

I have been a Remedial Massage Therapist for 7 years. I studied my Diploma at the Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine and graduated with honors, as well as receiving a certificate in Excellence for Body Work.

I then worked for the Australian Institute of Fitness for 5 years, teaching the Diploma of Remedial Massage, as well as running my own business.

I have been with the great team at 4 Life since December 2018, but I took a little break to have my baby girl. I’m excited to be bringing Remedial Massage to you all here in Pinjarra and surrounds.

Why did I choose massage?

I wanted to help people! When I first thought of massage, I thought I’d love to work for my favorite football team. Over the years, the more I have studied and learnt about the body, I realized I loved the clinical environment, working with clients with injuries and assisting with rehabilitation and body maintenance. I believe that everybody is different and I aim to listen to my clients and then create a treatment plan that is best suited to them. I can still often be found at various sporting events, including the Busselton Ironman, as I love working with professional athletes, and I did achieve the dream of working for my favorite sporting team in 2017! One of biggest reasons I love the massage industry is because I get to work with people, and I get to help them in reducing pain in their bodies. To me this is a privilege, so thank you all for putting your body in my hands

Why Should you Choose 4 Life Massage?

There are so many benefits to massage, its hard to know where to start! As I mentioned, everybody has different needs. Remedial Massage means to assess and treat, and so each treatment is designed for what your body needs. Some people prefer a more relaxing treatment, whilst others like a deeper pressure. I have many techniques in my massage toolbox including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage and stretching and we can decide which ones are right for you.

Some benefits of massage include decreasing pain, increasing relaxation and improving movement. Whatever you are aiming to get out of your treatment, I can assure you, I am aiming for that too! I like to think of it as we are on the same team and hopefully we can reach the desired outcomes! I often get asked, how often should I have a massage? Again, this is individual for each client. Some people may require treatments every week, whilst others may come once a month. I always say to my clients, you listen to your body and we will work on a maintenance plan that is suited to you.
